Her Magesty's makeup tips

    Monday, March 26, 2007, 10:36 PM [General]

Looking about me I see many women these days are going au naturale regarding their appearance. This is unacceptable and most certainly not healthy. The skin must not be allowed to breathe. I also find the ruddy healthy glow most unbecoming. No makeup table should be without the following:

    • arsenic in almond oil - a most delightful preparation to impart a pale ethereal pallor to the skin. May also be used in the hands and décolleté.

    • powdered lead mixed with rice powder - a wonderful blemish concealer, face whitener, and excellent adjunct to the arsenic preparation

    • cinnabar - provides a lovely red hue to the lips and cheeks, never mind those old wives' tales about it being poisonous

    • mercury in rosewater - an excellent skin toner

Once must remember to never wash the face, simply reapply your makeup over the previous layers. Of course on must remember to not frown or smile too much, as your lovely mask may crack and flake.

Some ladies go so far as to apply leeches to their cheeks, but I think that is pushing vanity too far. Leeches should be reserved for treating serious illness, and not for a lady's fancy.

Next week I shall speak about perfumes and teeth freshening (for those of you lucky enough to still have some teeth)

    mini-series about Daddy!!!

    Monday, March 19, 2007, 1:57 PM [General]

How wonderful! The vassels at Showtime have made a mini-series about Daddy and Mummy's great romance!!

Here is the actor that plays Daddy. I think he is WAY too handsome, Daddy had beady little eyes.

Here is Mummy, a very good likeness!! Mummy was so pretty and only had FIVE fingers on each hand.

    Saluti, Vostro Majesty.

I thank you so very much for your permissiveness toward my audience. Allow me to introduce myself; Vincente di Medici, Visconte di Firenze, Ambasciatore del Granducato della Toscana. I do not wish to imply nor impose the Holy Mother Church on her Majesty, but the Pope insists that I report of the affairs of L'Inghilterra. With your permission I wish to check in only occasionally and without ulterior motive. Gracie, Vostro Majesty e prenderò il mio permesso.

Hail and Well Met, Your Most Royal Majesty, whose beautious visage doth outshine all the stars in God's heaven! Most graciously I dost thank You for the addition to Your Friends. If e'er of service to You or the Crown I can be, a word from Your cinnabar hued lips be only required. I am and always will be Your most loyal and humble servant.
